The meaning behind our logo is “rooted” in Colossians 2:6-7.
“As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in Him: rooted and built up in Him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.” ~ Colossians 2:6-7
We used the tree to symbolize our Christian lives, because our ultimate goal as Christians should be to be rooted and built up in Jesus Christ.
When we are firmly rooted in Him, we are then able to support those around us, because we are drawing our strength from the True Vine (John 15).
In our own strength we fail, but when we surrender our lives to the Lord and allow Him to use us as the vessels through which He works, it’s amazing to see what He can do!
Abounding with Thanksgiving was started by a homeschool graduate who is so thankful to have been saved by the grace of God and considers Him her very best friend. She is passionate about using homeschooling as a means of discipleship, and greatly enjoys sharing with others the things God has taught her throughout her life.
She enjoys perusing sermons written by Charles Spurgeon, and when not composing posts on Biblical parenting, homeschooling, or living for the glory of God, she enjoys cooking, reading, learning homesteading skills, teaching, and conversing with friends about the goodness of the Lord!
